Who they were
Luigi Monza was born at Cislago on 22 June 1898. When his father was paralysed in a fall in 1913, he put off his studies to help his family, until his parish priest found a way for him to go on to the priesthood.
He founded the Secular Institute of the Little Apostles of Charity, which serves the disabled and disadvantaged, above all children, through care, education and training.
