Who they were
Luis Eduardo López Gascón was born on 7 August 1855 in the city of Granada, entered the Passionist novitiate at Rome in 1874 and was ordained priest in 1880.
He was killed at Pozo de Cantavieja on 13 September 1936, and was beatified on 25 March 2017 by Pope Francis, among the companions of José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre.
