At Seoul in Korea, Saints Benedicta Hyŏng Kyŏng-nyŏn, widow and catechist, and six companions, martyrs, who, after suffering many tortures for the name of Christ, finally died by beheading.

Among those named is Saint Magdalene Yi Yŏng-dŏk, a virgin, sister of Saint Catherine Yi.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 29 December among the companions of Saint Benedicta Hyŏng Kyŏng-nyŏn, martyrs beheaded at Seoul.
