Who they were
Malachi (Malachias) is the last of the twelve Minor Prophets, long regarded as the last prophet of the Old Testament. Nothing is known of him beyond his preaching.
He rebuked unworthy worship and divorce, and foretold that the Lord would send His messenger to prepare the way before Him.
The miracles
He is honoured as a saint of the Old Testament; there was never a formal cause.
Why that counted as sanctity
The last of the prophets, who foretold the messenger of the Lord.
