Manuel Alcayde Pérez was born on 15 February 1879 at Fiñana, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1893.
He was killed on 18 September 1936 at the Collado de la Reina in Nacimiento, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
