Manuel Blanco Mesa was a diocesan priest, born at Jaén on 15 August 1880 and assistant parish priest of El Salvador in Baeza, who was killed on 3 December 1936 at the age of 56. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
