Manuel Lucas Ibáñez was born on 11 June 1879 at Fondón, in the province and diocese of Almería, and was ordained priest in 1904.
He was killed on 3 October 1936 at Berja, in the province of Almería, and Pope Francis beatified him on 25 March 2017 among José Álvarez-Benavides de la Torre and 114 companions, diocesan priests and lay faithful killed between 1936 and 1938.
