Manuel Melero Luque was born at Martos on 3 December 1912 and was a member of Catholic Action in Martos, who was killed on 12 November 1936 at the age of 24. He was beatified on 13 December 2025 by Pope Leo XIV among the 124 martyrs of Jaén.
