Who they were
Marguerite Acarie, daughter of Blessed Marie of the Incarnation, was raised carefully by her mother and took the Carmelite habit at the first Carmel in Paris in 1605.
She was prioress at Tours, sent to restore harmony at Bordeaux, and several times prioress in Paris, with a zeal for mortification her superiors sometimes had to moderate. She died in Paris on 24 May 1660.
