Who they were
Margarito Flores García was born at Taxco, Guerrero, on 22 February 1899. Driven from his diocese by the persecution, he heard of the heroic death of the parish priest David Uribe and said he too would give his life for Christ.
He asked leave to return and was made acting parish priest of Atenango del Río, where he was killed. He was one of the 25 martyrs of the Mexican persecution, led by St Cristóbal Magallanes, most of them priests killed for exercising their ministry.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
