Who they were
Born in Vannes on 24 December 1681, she and her husband converted between 1703 and 1710, trained in medicine and ran their château at Taden as a hospital for the sick poor for some fifty years.

Bishop Denis Moutel of Saint-Brieuc and Tréguier opened the beatification and canonization inquiry of the Handmaid of God Marguerite-Marie de la Garaye together with her husband Claude-Toussaint on 22 September 2024 at the church of Saint-Malo in Dinan.
