Born in Guadalajara, she left the Order of the Incarnate Word to found the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and of Holy Mary of Guadalupe at Guadalajara in 1926, during the persecution of the Church in Mexico. The congregation gives her place of death as Arriaga in the state of Chiapas, not Chihuahua as the Hagiography Circle record has it.
