Who they were
María Antonia Bandrés y Elósegui was born at Tolosa, Guipúzcoa, on 6 May 1898, the second of fifteen children of a lawyer. Frail but very sensitive, she went from childhood to the school of the Daughters of Jesus.
She joined the Daughters of Jesus and died at Salamanca on 27 April 1919, a year after her profession, serene even in desolation.
