Borgato, a member of the Company of St Angela Merici, joined the escape network run by the Franciscan Placido Cortese, was arrested in March 1944 and died at Ravensbrück about the end of April 1945.

Santi e Beati lists her as a Servant of God and martyr and places her death at Ravensbrück; the Hagiography Circle names the Uckermark sub-camp. The cause was opened in the diocese of Padua in 2015.
