Who they were
One of the seers of the 1930s Marian apparitions at Cimbres, she entered the Sisters of Christian Instruction in 1941 and spent her life teaching, nursing and evangelising in favelas and fishing communities of Pernambuco.

Why that counted as sanctity
The Dicastery for the Causes of Saints granted the nihil obstat on 22 February 2024, recognising her as a Servant of God, and the Diocese of Pesqueira opened the diocesan phase of her cause on 10 March 2024; the diocesan phase closed in October 2024.
