Who they were
María de la Luz Camacho was a young laywoman of Coyoacán, a Franciscan tertiary, catechist and member of Catholic Action, shot at the door of the parish church of San Juan Bautista on 30 December 1934 by the Camisas Rojas during the persecution of the Church in Mexico.

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.
Why that counted as sanctity
Her cause is for martyrdom, with the nihil obstat of 27 September 1990; the Franciscan Province of the Holy Gospel promotes it and Father Jesús Arredondo Marquina has been named vice-postulator. The archdiocese of Mexico calls her Servant of God.
