María de los Dolores Barroso Villasenor was born at Bonares near Huelva on 4 October 1896, made her religious vows as a Daughter of Charity of St Vincent de Paul in 1931 and worked as a nurse. She was beatified on 13 October 2013 by Pope Francis, among the companions of Melchora de la Adoracion Cortés Bueno.
