In the village of Portichol de Tavernes near Carcaixent in Spain, Blessed Maria del Patrocinio de San Juan Giner Gomis, virgin of the Institute of the Claretian Missionary Sisters of Mary Immaculate and martyr, won eternal life in that persecution by fighting for the faith.
The Acta Apostolicae Sedis record her as a professed sister of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Immaculate, in the world Maria Giner Gomis, who lived from 1874 to 1936.
