Who they were
Born at Valdealcón, near León, on 6 July 1897, she made her solemn profession on 2 May 1928 and was known in the world as Clotilde Campos Urdiales. Pope Francis beatified her with María del Carmen Lacaba Andía and her thirteen companions on 22 June 2019.
The miracles
As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The decree on martyrdom counts her among the professed nuns killed out of hatred for the faith in 1936.
