María del Tránsito Cabanillas

Who they were
Dolores Cabanillas was born at Santa Leocadia, now Carlos Paz, Córdoba, Argentina, on 15 August 1821, of a family descended from Valencian emigrants. After her father's death the family moved to Córdoba, where she lived with her mother, brother, sisters and five orphaned cousins, always more abandoned to Providence.
As Mother María del Tránsito of the Blessed Sacrament she did much for the Christian formation of poor and abandoned children and founded the Franciscan Missionary Tertiary Sisters of Argentina.
