Who they were
At Madrid in Spain, Blessed María Dolores Rodríguez Sopeña, virgin: giving an exemplary witness of Christian charity, she drew close to the least of the society of her time, especially in the outskirts of the great cities; she founded the Institute of the Catechist Ladies and the Catechetical Work to proclaim the Gospel and to promote the advancement of the poor and of workers in society.

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 10 January as founder of the Catechist Ladies, who served the poor on the edges of the cities.
