The decree on martyrdom describes her as a professed religious of the Handmaids of the Blessed Sacrament and of Charity, born on 8 January 1907 at Oviedo, who made temporary vows on 8 March 1936; in the world she was María Dolorosa Monzón Rosales. She was beatified on 28 October 2007 by Pope Benedict XVI.
