Who they were
Anna Felicia Viti was born at Veroli on 10 February 1827, daughter of a landowner given to drink and gambling. Her mother died when she was fourteen and she took on the care of her eight brothers and sisters, even going into service to support them.
As a Benedictine nun she spent almost her whole life in charge of the linen room, rising at half past three for long, humble tasks done so well they became masterpieces, seasoned with prayer even in complete spiritual dryness.
