Who they were
Maria Sagheddu was born on 17 March 1914 at Dorgali, on the east coast of Sardinia, daughter of a shepherd, in a large family of modest comfort.
A Trappist nun, in all simplicity she offered her life for the unity of Christians, and died at twenty-five.
