Who they were
At Kokura, also in Japan, the Blessed martyrs Simon Bokusai Kyota, catechist, and Magdalene, husband and wife, Thomas Gengoro and Maria, also husband and wife, and little James, their son, who by decree of the prefect Yetsundo were crucified together head downwards out of hatred for the name of Christ.
