Who they were
Maria Grazia Tarallo was born at Barra, Naples, on 23 September 1866, one of seven children of parents who gave her a sound human and Christian formation; two of her sisters also became nuns in her institute.
Married, she was widowed when her husband died on 27 January 1890, nine months after their civil marriage. She then entered the Crucified Sisters Adorers of the Eucharist, taking the name Sister Maria of the Passion.

A young widow who gave herself to Christ crucified in adoration of the Eucharist.
