Who they were
Near Madrid in Spain, Blessed María del Refugio (María Gabriela) Hinojosa y Naveros and five companions, virgins of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary and martyrs, who, during the persecution, although enclosed in their monastery, were arrested by militiamen through a trick and went to meet Christ their Bridegroom, shot dead.
Among those named is Blessed María Inés (Inés) Zudaire y Galdeano, a virgin of the Order of the Visitation of Holy Mary and martyr.
