Who they were

Born in Oviedo into a wealthy Asturian family, she was the chief collaborator of Blessed Tiburcio Arnáiz SJ and with him co-founded the Obra de las Doctrinas Rurales, lay missionaries evangelising remote villages and poor neighbourhoods.

The miracles

No miracle has been approved. The cause is at its first stage.

Why that counted as sanctity

The Diocese of Málaga opened her cause of canonization on 18 November 2023 at the church of the Sagrado Corazón in Málaga.

The cause

María Isabel González del Valle Sarandeses is named a Servant of God; the cause continues. Favours received, and offers of help, go to the postulation, the office that carries the cause forward: The cause of María Isabel González del Valle Sarandeses.

A miracle approved by the Holy See is needed for the next step. Reporting one begins with the postulation.
