In the town of Pniewite near Gdańsk in Poland, Blessed Maria Karłowska, virgin, who, to restore to the dignity of daughters of God poor girls and women of corrupted ways, founded the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Shepherd of Divine Providence.
