Who they were
Caterina Sordini was born at Grosseto on 16 April 1770, the fourth of nine children of a deeply Catholic family. At seventeen her father arranged her marriage to a sea merchant; she resisted, then complied.
She founded the Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament.
