Who they were
Giuseppina De Micheli was born in Milan on 11 September 1890, lost her father young and felt drawn to religious life from childhood. On 15 October 1913 she entered the Daughters of the Immaculate Conception of Buenos Aires as Sister Pierina, and trained in crafts, violin and piano for their educational work.
She was superior of the Milan house, then of the new house in Rome, and finally regional superior. She died a holy death at Centonara d'Artò, near Novara, on 26 July 1945.
