Why that counted as sanctity
A thirteen-year-old from Vila de São Sebastião on Terceira in the Azores, she was attacked on 4 June 1940 while taking supper to her father and died; her cause is for martyrdom in defence of chastity. The nihil obstat was granted on 11 January 2018 and the diocesan inquiry of Angra closed on 1 November 2024. Santi e Beati calls her a Servant of God, virgin and martyr, and gives her birth as 11 November 1926.
