Marianna Amico Roxas of San Cataldo entered the secular Ursulines in 1912 and established the Company of St Ursula in the dioceses of Caltanissetta, Catania and Caltagirone.

Her cause began on 14 December 1988, the diocesan process closed at Caltanissetta in 1991, and she was declared Venerable on 19 December 2011.
