Who they were
In the small town of Naumowicze near Grodno in Poland, Blessed Marianna Biernacka, mother of a family and martyr, who, during the war, under the occupation, freely offered herself to the soldiers in place of her pregnant daughter-in-law and, shot on the spot, received the glorious palm of martyrdom.
