Who they were
Mariano Binefa Alsinella, born at Villa Ieridana de Anglesola, near Lérida, on 27 September 1906, made his religious profession as a lay brother in the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (the Claretians) on 11 June 1933.
He was killed at Sallent on 25 July 1936, and Pope Francis beatified him with his companions on 21 October 2017.
