Why that counted as sanctity
The diocese of La Rochelle et Saintes calls her Servante de Dieu; the French bishops approved reopening the cause in November 2022, Rome gave the nihil obstat in 2024, and the diocesan phase was opened at Saintes on 20 February 2026 under Bishop Pierre-Antoine Bozo (an earlier diocesan inquiry had been held from 1869).
