French Carmelite nun and martyr (1765-1794)

Who they were
Marie-Geneviève Meunier, Sister Constance, was a novice of the Carmel of Compiègne, born at St. Denis in 1765 or 1766, who received the habit in December 1788.
She was guillotined in Paris on 17 July 1794 with the rest of her community. As the novice she was executed first, and she went up to the scaffold singing the psalm Laudate Dominum. The martyrs were beatified on 27 May 1906.
The miracles
The Catholic Encyclopedia lists four cures proved in the beatification process of the Compiègne martyrs as a group, among them that of a Carmelite lay sister of New Orleans who was dying of cancer in June 1897.
Why that counted as sanctity
The novice of the Compiègne Carmel, first of her community to die on the scaffold in 1794.
