Who they were
At Paris in France, Blesseds Teresa of Saint Augustine (Marie-Madeleine-Claudine) Lidoine and fifteen companions, virgins of the Carmel of Compiègne and martyrs, who during the French Revolution were condemned to death for having faithfully kept the monastic discipline and, having reached the scaffold, renewed the promises of their baptismal faith and their religious vows.
Among those named is Blessed Marie-Henriette de la Providence.

As a martyr she was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 17 July among the Carmelites of Compiègne guillotined at Paris during the French Revolution.
