Who they were
Born in the château of Nety at Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières in the Rhône to an aristocratic family, she ran the family estate after her father's death before entering the Daughters of Charity in Paris, and spent the rest of her life serving the poor in Guatemala, refusing even a visit home.

Cardinal Rodolfo Quezada Toruño, archbishop of Guatemala, inaugurated her beatification process on 15 March 2006 after the acts had been approved in Rome.
