Who they were
Near the city of Jixian in the province of Hebei, also in China, Saint Mark Ki-T'ien-Siang, martyr, who, excluded for thirty years from the Eucharistic banquet because he had not been willing to give up the use of opium, nevertheless did not cease to pray that he might end his life devoutly and, called to judgement, after firmly professing faith in Christ, reached the eternal banquet.

The Roman Martyrology does not describe the miracles approved in the cause.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 7 July as a martyr of the Boxer persecution who, long kept from Communion over opium, professed Christ firmly at his trial.
