Mark of Aviano

Who they were
Carlo Domenico Cristofori was born and baptised at Aviano on 17 November 1631, one of eleven children of a wealthy family, and studied with the Jesuits at Gorizia from 1643 to 1647. He became a Capuchin as Father Mark.
A great preacher of conversion and forgiveness and apostle of the act of perfect contrition, he travelled the roads of Europe calling people to faith and penance, his message confirmed by conversions and healings. He worked for the poor and sick and urged the powerful to put faith and peace before every other interest.
