Who they were
In the Val di Non in the Trentino, the holy martyrs Sisinius, deacon, Martyrius, lector, and Alexander, doorkeeper: Cappadocians by origin, they founded a church in this region and introduced the use of songs of praise to the Lord, and were then killed by some pagans who were offering sacrifices of purification.
The miracles
There was never a formal cause: he has been honoured as a saint since before the Church's formal processes began.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 29 May as a lector, a Cappadocian who founded a church in the Val di Non and was killed there by pagans offering sacrifices.
