Who they were
At Seoul in Korea, the passion of Saints John Pak Hu-jae and five women companions, martyrs, who during the persecution, brought before the criminal court as Christians, after suffering cruel torments for the faith, died by beheading. Among those named is Saint Mary Yi Yŏn-hŭi, wife of Saint Damian Nam Myong-hyog.

The Roman Martyrology remembers her on 3 September among the Korean martyrs beheaded at Seoul with Saint John Pak Hu-jae after cruel torments for the faith.
