Who they were
Mati (Matthias) Prendushi, whom some sources spell Prennushi, was an Albanian Franciscan priest and Minister Provincial of his order.
Under the communist regime he was shot at Shkodër on 11 March 1948 together with Bishop Frano Gjini and Father Çiprian Nika. He is one of the thirty-eight martyrs of Albania, led by Archbishop Vinçenc Prennushi, beatified at Shkodër on 5 November 2016.
