Mbaga Tuzinde

Who they were
Mbaga Tuzinde, a young man of the palace, was the son of Mukajanga, the chief and cruellest of the executioners. Still a catechumen when persecution broke out, he was baptised by Charles Lwanga shortly before being sent to death with him.
His father begged him again and again to renounce the Catholic faith, or at least to hide and promise to stop praying. He answered that he knew why he was to die and accepted it. He is one of the 22 martyrs of Uganda, St Charles Lwanga and companions, put to death under King Mwanga.

As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The executioner's son who would not deny Christ to save his life.
