Who they were
At Nagasaki in Japan, Blesseds Martín Lumbreras Peralta and Melchor Sánchez Pérez, priests of the Order of Saint Augustine and martyrs, who, as soon as they entered this city, were arrested and thrown into a dark cell, and finally sent to the stake.
The miracles
As a martyr he was raised to the altars without a miracle.
Why that counted as sanctity
The Roman Martyrology remembers him on 11 December as an Augustinian priest burned at the stake at Nagasaki.
