The decree on martyrdom describes him as an unmarried man of twenty-one, one of the thirteen lay faithful killed in hatred of the faith in 1874 with Vincent Lewoniuk, whom the decree says were held to be true martyrs of the faith from the day of their death. He was beatified on 6 October 1996 by Pope John Paul II.
