Miguel Borrero Picón

Who they were

Miguel Borrero Picón was born at Beas in Huelva on 6 December 1873, was ordained priest on 19 November 1903 and was appointed assistant priest of Utrera on 26 February 1923. He was arrested in his parish on 19 July 1936 and killed in the local prison on 26 July. Pope Francis beatified him on 18 November 2023.
