Who they were

Francisco Febres Cordero was born at Cuenca, Ecuador, on 7 November 1854 and was one of the first pupils of the Brothers of the Christian Schools when they opened a school there in 1863.

As Brother Miguel he promoted literary studies at Cuenca for about forty years, and later in Spain gave himself with simplicity of heart to the full observance of the Rule.
