Gozitan priest known for his devotion to Our Lady of Ta' Pinu
Who they were
Born at Nadur and ordained in 1959, he spent his life serving priests and lay people in Gozo and visiting the poor in the missions each summer, and began the vigil on the eve of the Assumption that is still held on the parvis of the Ta' Pinu basilica.

Why that counted as sanctity
In 2014 Bishop Mario Grech of Gozo declared his diocesan beatification process open at Ta' Pinu, and in August 2022 the Servant of God's remains were exhumed and taken to the national shrine there.
